Mary Totin Schaus
Mary is a proud mother to two boys who were both born in Hong Kong. She was qualified as a lawyer in the US in 2002 (currently not practicing) and moved to Hong Kong in 2004 from Virginia, USA, embarking on a related career of human resources in the legal industry, where she has led the functions in Asia for two of the most prestigious law firms in the world.
She founded Talos Foundation in 2021 after her youngest son Alex experienced discrimination and she knew something had to be done. Armed with an idea and a whole lot of persistence, she designed and manufactured lanyards and buttons for neurodiverse people to wear to self-identify and interrupt bias. Talos Foundation was born, and momentum from the community and companies continues to drive the mission. She’s thrilled Talos Foundation can be a force for change.
