Monthly Events

Our current programming includes a monthly event called Splice the Mainbrace, held at Café 8 every third Thursday of the month. With partnerships from the Nesbitt Centre, Jockey Club Sarah Roe School, its PTA and Special Needs Network Hong Kong, our corporate sponsors an open bar and wages from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, and promote the event.

Alumni and current student of Jockey Club Sarah Roe school who may not otherwise have the opportunity to be trained or work through other organizations are trained on how to take drink orders, communicate those orders to the bar staff, and serve drinks to customers. We currently have a team of seven servers, including one server who is a member of the non-speaking community.

Our servers love the training and opportunities this provides them, and you will love the smiles and the amazing feeling you will have from attending and even sponsoring this event. A typical event will cost between HK$3,000 – HK$5,000 and is a wonderful way to give back to the community.
