Normalize and Grow Employment Opportunities
Talos Foundation seeks to normalize and grow employment opportunities for neurodivergent people through partnerships with companies and providing additional opportunities to train and develop employment skills.
Monthly Events
Our monthly employment event, a signature showcase for the talents of neurodivergent individuals, continues to change lives. Every month, Talos Foundation organizes a “happy hour” cocktail event at Cafe Museum 8, a social enterprise run by the Nesbitt Centre. However, the servers at our event are not Nesbitt Centre employees. They are recruited by Talos Foundation from local special needs schools and given opportunities to learn F+B service skills on the job. Our servers are typically unable to access other NGO job training programs because they are either non-verbal or have higher support needs. Talos Foundation believes everyone should be given an opportunity to succeed, so we do not require resumes, interviews, just a willingness to work! Through our monthly program, three of our servers have found meaningful employment they would otherwise not have been able to access had they not been given this opportunity.
Our event is called, “Splice the Main Brace” in honour of a naval tradition held dear to one of our founders, David Schaus. While the original event aimed to bring together the Maritime, Veterans, and Special Needs communities in Hong Kong, all are welcome to attend. An open bar is sponsored by the monthly corporate sponsor who also pays the wages of our servers.
The more guests we have, the more servers we need. The more servers we need, the more lives we change!
It’s an inexpensive and high impact way for companies and individuals to change lives immediately.

Come and join us at Museum Café 8 on every third Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm.
